A geography teacher in Scotland (http://OllieBray.com) gave a conference presentation "Movie 50 ideas in 50 minutes" which is available online from: "http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=-2717838093983614120&hl=en-GB". He's using it to get students involved in geography. His talk is on 50 ideas to change how teachers teach geography in gradeschools.
A free GIS system.
A really cool toy.
Links in really nicely with http://maps.google.com, just add a '/maps?q=' followed by a URL to your .kml file. For example: "http://maps.google.com/maps?q=http://www.sr.unh.edu/~rea/adv060817/gaps.gdb.kml". Note this example was done with gpsbabel (http://www.gpsbabel.org/).
Goes great with
