The Qt toolkit is a large suite of cross platform API tools, which originated as a Graphics toolkit and has evolved to support Databases, XML, file handling, Network, Sound as well as a very feature rich set of GUI and 3D tools.
This meeting will focus on the current version of Qt (Qt4) and it's Designer tool that allows the user to graphically lay out a user interface, connecting pieces of it together and generate the source code that can be directly used by your own code.
Tucker will be demoing how to use the Designer tool and how it's connected to your C++ code. The same GUI created by the designer will be displayed under Linux as well as on a Mac. Rob will also provide a Python example of the same auto generated GUI.
