SLUG meetings and snow

Over the years we've been lucky to never have had to cancel a SLUG meeting. That has been a good run, but very improbable. So here's the criteria we'll used to cancel and how we'll do it.

Obviously our meetings are completely optional and done for the fun of it. You should never feel like you're risking your life to come. Please stay home and catch us next month if you don't feel safe getting to Durham for any reason.

The meeting will be canceled anytime that the UNH Durham campus is closed for the afternoon. In today's case UNH Durham was closed for the day. If there was a 2 hour delay, we would have held the meeting. If for some reason the storm starts late and UNH Durham shuts-down sometime in the afternoon the meeting would also be canceled. UNH Durham weather related emergencies will always be prominently displayed on the following page: "http://www.unh.edu/storminfo". This information is also available as an automated phone message at "(603)862-0000", and on many radio and television stations.

Once a SLUG meeting has been canceled this website will be updated. The meeting date should contain a cancellation notice AND the meeting will generally be rescheduled to another date, that will be listed on the SLUG calendar.
