How to use Plone to submit your own content.
Steps to add content
- Join and become a member.
- Create the content you want added.
- Submit that content for Publishing.
- Check out your handywork.
Step 1 Join our website
If you're already a Member you have already completed the first step!
On the right side of the page, just under the tabs you'll find a join button. Fill out that form and you're a member.
Step 2 Create your content
You can make your content offline or online in a variety of different formats. The simplest is "Plain Text", another common option is "HTML".
Our Documentation/Links page has some references to each markup option. The others are a little easier to type, but not as common.
To get it onto the SLUG site use the "my folder" link (near the "join" link). Once on that page you simply choose the type of content you want to add from the "add item" menu. Fill out the presented form and save it.
Step 3 Submit your content
After you've saved it you should be viewing it. Read over and make sure it behaves how you wanted it to. Use the "Edit" tab to make any changes.
If you wish to you can use the "Properties" tab and choose some of the Keywords that help drop your content into the correct folders. The Reviewer is likely to modify them for you before Publishing, so don't worry if you don't know what Keywords make to use.
Once you're satisfied with it use the "State: public draft" menu to "Submit" your content for publication.
Step 4 Wait and See
After the wait you should be able to see your work. I don't know how long it might take before it's published but if you feel it's been too long send me some email
You should still be able to edit your content, if you find a mistake or want to update it.
